GameSpot on SimCity DS

Reviews for SimCity DS has begun dropping in. The turn has come to GameSpot to review and give it a final judgement. According to them the good can be summed up with the music, new data screens and how the game manages to catch the essence of the original; while the bad largely revolves around the poor graphical experience, especially the lack of detail.

Even when you’ve gone far beyond the ghost towns of your past, you won’t see a lot of graphical improvement in the bustling cities of your future. That’s because the entire game looks a bit shabby. The level of detail that made the PC and Mac versions fun to look at can’t be rendered on the DS’s little screen with its handful of pixels.

As mentioned previously the game is largely based on SimCity 3000 for the PC.
