A common question these days is whether you can play SimCity 4 in widescreen. And the answer is, yes, you actually can! What you need to do is to look up your shortcut to SC4 (if you don’t have one find your installation folder/apps and create one from your simcity4.exe file). Now right click on it and chose properties. In the target box add the following after the path and the quotation marks:

-r1360×768x32 -CustomResolution:enabled

Replace the resolution values with the ones you prefer. The third value sets the color depth, either 16 or 32bit. And voilà, there you go! Just remember to chose a resolution that your monitor supports and beware of the aspect ratio, or the game might look a bit blurred. Happy widescreen gaming.
