Big surprise. EA’s cash cow will get a sequel in due time. In a CNET interview Rod Humble confirmed what every gamer has predicted since Rome fell, there will be a The Sims 3. There are some talk about SimCity Societies too.

Tell us about SimCity Societies?
Humble: We wanted to follow a similar strategy that we did with The Sims 2, which is, “Hey how can we broaden this? How can we make it less challenging, easier to use, and make it more into a creativity tool?” We’ve just launched, and we’ve had a series of really mixed reviews…

Since SimCity and The Sims, there’s been lot of competing games in the genre. How do you keep The Sims on top?
Humble: No. 1 is listening to our community. Number two is learning from our mistakes….

Hi, Many years ago I played your very first Sim City on the NintendoNES System. However, it seems as if that game no longer exists anywhere including eBay. And I can’t seem to find a way to contact Maxis to see if it is still possible to purchase the good old Sim City.
thank you in advance for your response.
Oh yes, also I tried to download the Classic Sim City (Play for Free) and nothing happened. Anyway, Thanks again, Kay Kolves the GamingGranny
